Abners Angels Presents Interview With Model “Jontel Chanice”

Jontel Chanice’ the model was born and raised in Gadsden, South Carolina. As a teen she became interested in modeling and at the age of 19 she started pursuing modeling. Jontel finds being in front of the camera is her happy place. Her goal is to go even further than she has ever been.

How does it feel to be selected as one of the Abners Angels?

It feels so great to be selected as one of Abners Angel’s.  I am very honored that the industry has noticed my passion and my hard work and dedication!

How long have you been modeling and what inspired you to become a model?

I have been modeling off and on since I was 19 years old.  Even though her title was not a “model”, Aaliyah was the one that inspired me the most and Tyra Banks.  I just loved Aaliyah’s passion for what she did.

What have you accomplished being a model?

I have started being in more fashion shows and music videos with major artist.

How do you deal with insecurities?

I deal with insecurities by engaging in more positive self-talk and self-acceptance.


How do you maintain your figure?

I don’t have to do much because I’m naturally slim.  But lately I have started to work out every now and then, to tone up a little.

What do you think you look the sexiest in?

Well I think I look the sexiest in formal wear.

What is your weird food related habit?

I love eating butter rice.  I don’t think it’s weird, but everyone else seems to think it is.


What’s the most epic movie quote of all time?

Lol, it would probably be “frankly my dear I don’t give a damn” from Gone with the Wind.

What is one thing in life that makes you feel alive?

My daughter.

After refusing to give it a shot, what is something that eventually won you over?

I would have to say starting to date my husband.  He kept trying and I never was interested in males, but he was persistent.  So I was like OMG, let me give him a chance.

If you could eliminate one thing from your life today, what would it be?

I would eliminate stress.


What’s the hardest thing mentally, you’ve ever done or been through?

Losing my step dad.
