Slim The Model was born in Atlanta, Georgia and raised in Greensboro/Concord, North Carolina. At age 14 is when Slim started pursuing modeling. Growing up in a single parent household it was difficult for her to attend casting calls, photo shoots, etc. With the help of her older sisters ( Jasmine, Porchia and Nadia) she was able to purse her dreams. Living in Charlotte it was difficult for Slim to get signed with a modeling agency due to it being a lot of “scammers” claiming to be legit. In 2014 she finally got signed to an agency (3bbm) where she had high hopes of her dreams finally coming to a reality. Unfortunately that didn’t happen. Once September of 2015 came, Slim left 3bbm and continued to be a freelance model. Ever since then, things have been going really good for her. Catching the eye of many photographers, stylist, MUAS from different states and countries. Her goal is to now sign with a new agency and show the world what she is about.

How does it feel to be selected as one of the Abners Angels?

It feels amazing, wasn’t expecting to be chosen.

What made you become a model?

I suffered from self confidence a lot growing up, from elementary to high school.  I always got picked on of course for being tall, I thought it was because I was ugly as well, lol.  That definitely wasn’t the case though, lol.  Modeling made me feel beautiful.  In this industry they admire my type of beauty and I was able to finally see that as well.

What physical features do you get the most compliments on? What are you insecure about?

I would say my long legs and cat/almond shaped eyes.  I try not to be insecure about my body.  Of course I’m not perfect and there are some things I can work on.  At the end of the day, I love my body.

What do you think you look the sexiest in?

You gotta see your girl in some jeans! Just the way they hug my body, also my butt looks good in them too.

What has been your favorite shoot / campaign / work to date?

Sadly to say, I don’t have a favorite shoot yet.  I haven’t had any shoot that has blown me away unfortunately.  These Charlotte photographers normally always shoot the same thing.  Most of the time they don’t really have a set idea, no stylist, MUAS or nothing.

What are your modeling goals for 2020?

Firstly to be published, I’m actually shocked that hasn’t happened yet.  To be signed again.  I was with an agency from 2014-2015, wasn’t for me, but now I’m ready to be with a LEGIT agency.  So I can show them what I’m really capable of, just really getting my face out there.

What was your worst first (and last) date?

I’ve actually never been on a bad date 🤷🏽‍♀️.  I’m very picky of who I let take me out, you gotta earn it.

If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?

Definitely Africa and Egypt.  There’s soo much history out there, that they didn’t teach/want us to know in school, smh.  Also it’s breathtaking out there🤫.

What’s your best childhood memory?

Just being around my old friends, going to sleep overs and acting all crazy.  Talking about boys, prank calling, etc.  I swear those were the good ole days, so careless.

If you could change one bad quality of yours, what would it be?

To stop getting so irritated easily.  Little things like if someone isn’t walking fast enough, or if someone is doing the speed limit, lol.  I’ve definitely gotten better by during yoga, it really calms me or even just taking a big inhale/exhale.

What’s the most unusual but fun experience you’ve had?

Me and my bestfriend was interested in the same guy.  We basically lied to each saying that we were going to fall back.  Long story short, in the end he didn’t want neither one of us.

How can everyone keep in contact with you on social media?

To be honest I’m thee worst person to get in contact with.  I get tons of emails, messages, DM’s, texts daily.  This is why I need an agency or agent, so they can take care of all that.  To answer your question, Instagram please @slim_erica .
