Shaylene was born in Washington and is now based in Orlando, Florida. Her goal is to travel and model. She’s been a professional hair and makeup artist for four years and just entered the modeling world in 2018. She shoots a variety of styles and enjoys getting creative, as well as working with other models.

How does it feel to be selected as one of the Abners Angels?

It always feels great having a brand take interest in you and your work.

Was modeling something you always wanted to do, or did it just kinda happen?

It just happened.  It took me a couple years of being behind the scenes and someone offering me paid work to start modeling.  Shout out to Timothy Richards for convincing me to step in front of the camera.

What are your modeling goals for 2020?

Travel, model and make money.  I’m in the works of planning a 2020 USA tour.

What is your most memorable modeling moment?

Getting my hair cut by the infamous Phillip Wolf on stage for the Matrix Destination 2019 in Cancun.

What is your favorite physical attribute about yourself?

My height, I’m 5’9”.  I hated it growing up, but I’ve learned to appreciate it.

What kind of exercises you do to stay in shape?

I workout more days then not.  I’ll admit, long days don’t always allow for a gym session, but I try to live a healthy and active lifestyle.

What do you consider the most beautiful thing about your personality?

I’m not judgmental.  I’m very open minded and easy to talk to.  I can hold a conversation with just about anyone.

If you could hold on to one memory from your life forever, what would that be?

My sisters wedding.  It was beautiful and she deserves the happiness I saw her experience that day.

What were your favorite holidays when you were a child?

4th of July.  We would go to the beach, have a fire and cookout.  You could see fireworks for miles.

What have you been putting off for far too long?

Breast implants, hopefully 2020 is the year.

How has your family shaped your personality and who you turned out to be?

My family is very unique.  In good and not so good ways.  I’ve learned from them who I didn’t want to be and who I wanted to be.
