Abners Angels Presents Interview With Model “Codie Green”

Codie Green a 28 year old model from Orange, Texas and lives in the Houston area.  She is mixed with African-American and Caucasian.  She is a mother of two, a seven year old boy named Christian and a four year old little girl named Chloé.  She won the 2019 Rated Boujie Award for Houston’s traditional model of the year.  She has been modeling for a little over 2 1/2 years.  She is one of the Executive Producers for a new show called Models of Atlanta.  Without God she couldn’t have came this far and she is thankful.

How does it feel to be selected as one of the Abners Angels?

It’s always an honor to be able to be apart of anything, I’m always so thankful for every opportunity.  But it feels good to know people are watching and want me to be involved with their company or brand and are willing to reach to me!

What inspires you as a model?

I have always been a positive person since I was little.  I always try to find the good in everything.  So as a model I love making others feel like they can do what I do as well.  Some may not know, but I’m considered a short model being that I’m only 5’3.  With that a lot of people won’t book me, because they want the standard height requirements.  Getting a NO inspires me to prove them wrong.  Showing them plus others that it is possible just look at all I have done.

What are your modeling goals for 2019?

I think it’s important that whatever field your in you trying expand your experiences and master everything you can.  At the beginning of this year I said I wanted to get more into the production.  I am now an Executive Producer of Models of Atlanta (which will hit a TV screen near you this summer).  I want to get more into that field and others.  As a model I want to travel more, work with photographers and designers all over the world.  I’m also working on being on the cover of a magazine as well.

Is modeling an easy job or more strenuous than people realize?

Everyone thinks modeling is easy, but really it’s not! Your not just modeling once you at the event.  Being a model is a lifestyle.  You wake up your modeling, when you eat your thinking about how this going to effect you as a model.  When your shopping at the mall your practicing your walk (or wherever your at).  You literally eat, sleep, and breathe modeling and this isn’t even about that event or gig.  So yes modeling can be hard.  But when your passionate about something your willing to work hard everyday for it.

What is your favorite physical attribute about yourself?

Self love is the KEY to anything in life and I truly love all of me! But, I would have to say that I have always been in love with my eyes.

What kind of exercises you do to stay in shape?

Personally my struggle is exercise, I’m not even going to lie.  When I do work out or make time too.  I walk on the treadmill (I also will wear heels while walking) so my legs look amazing.  One of my favorite exercises doing are squats, then crunches, sit-ups and the ab machines at the gym.

What is something you will never do again?

I get excited about everything.  So I tend to act out of excitement instead of logic.  I was offered to participate in a competition to win the cover of a magazine.  It was only $35, I was just like yeah this would be fun and I think I could win.  I did the paperwork and sent the money without asking to many questions.  Later to find out the studio that they wanted to shoot in was in the garage of their house.  After that I said I would NEVER sent money or anything without asking questions and getting to know all the details before hand.

What is the craziest gift you ever have received?

I’m not sure if you would call this a gift or not.  This guy who I never met or even really talked took a screenshot of his lock screen on his phone and it was a photo of me.  I’m not sure why, but it was flattering, lol.

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?

I was at the store with my kids and my son was outside of the basket (like normal). As we were checking out he walks passed me and slaps me on my behind, as hard as he could! He was probably five years old.  Everyone around started laughing and an older lady was like yea his daddy must do that a lot! I could feel my face burning red, but all I could do was laugh, because everyone else was!

If you could change one bad quality of yours, what would it be?

I worry about everything and want everything to perfect.  I’m praying and learning how to not worry about things I can’t control.  So my stress levels aren’t always high.
