Atlanta Dream comeback falls short. Sun defeat Dream 65-59.

The Connecticut Sun defeated the Atlanta Dream 65-59 and handed the Dream their fourth loss in a row.  The Dream are 1-4 now and tied for the second worse record in the WNBA.  The Sun are 5-1 with the best record in the WNBA.  The Sun led 44-32 at halftime with Jonquel Jones leading the way with 10 points and 6 rebounds.  The Dream outscored the Sun 27-21 in the second half and even tied the game 57-57 with six minutes left.

The Sun took the lead 59-57 with 3:30 seconds left and never looked back.  The Dream scored their final point with 28.1 seconds left.  Jones had a double-double with 17 points, 13 rebounds and 5 blocks, all were game-highs.  Tiffany Hayes and Brittany Sykes led the Dream with 14 points each.  They shot a combined 12-of-37 from the field.

Overall the Dream shot better from the field than the Sun, the 18 turnovers compared to the Sun 11 turnovers most likely cost them the game.  The Sun had 13 steals compared to the Dream 6 steals.  The Dream look to end their losing streak when they face the Dallas Wings next.
