What attracted you to begin a career as an actress?
Thanks so much for sharing your time with me. I feel like fate guided me into this life. I had always been interested in acting. Then in 2012 all the stars aligned and things started to begin and then move quickly. I am grateful to everyone who has helped me, I feel blessed. Especially my spectacular manager Matt Chassin. Every since I was a child I was attracted to acting; transforming into different characters and wearing costumes. Eventually those dreams became a reality.
What’s the best and worst thing about being an actress?
Best is meeting the fans, playing amazing and complex characters, traveling all over the world, plus meeting and working with such talented people. It’s an exciting journey.
Worst is dealing with rejection sometimes, because it is the nature of the business. Also listening to the public criticize all actors and celebrities including you. Acting opens you up to being a public person and everything that comes with that good or bad.
What actor/actress would you like to work with in the future?
There are so many. In the mainstream world Brad Pitt and Sandra Bullock are such legends! That would be amazing. In the world of horror and indie film I have been blessed to have worked with so many icons of the genre and it’s been amazing.
What is your profession’s greatest challenge today?
Dealing with rejection, keeping going no matter what, and continuing to do good work no matter what obstacles present themselves. It’s all about perseverance.
Any upcoming projects coming up that you would like to share with everyone?
Currently I am writing, directing and starring in Attack of the Killer Chickens the Movie. The first film from Cluck Cluck Productions, LLC. That’s definitely a huge undertaking. It’s going to be clucktastic! I want to plug Bigfoot which is now on Amazon.com; a super fun film directed by Mark Byrne. I play a fortuneteller specializing in Sasquatch relationship counseling. Matt Burns was a great screen partner for some pretty interesting moments in the film. This movie makes Bigfoot funny, scary, and relatable.
Skid Row (Frank Stallone, Schooly D) and Tapestry (starring Stephen Baldwin, Tina Louis and Burt Young) have also recently been released. Theresa and Allison, which I play a vampire’s victim in, is making the festival rounds.
Also look for me in Herschell Gordon Lewis’ BloodMania, with a cameo as a nurse in Death House and with a cameo as a party goes in Lloyd Kaufman’s Shakespeare’s Shitstorm. I excited about Mr Blueshirt The Inspiration with Michael Berryman, Bill Oberst Jr, Robert Mukes, Yan Birch. I teamed up with Adam Ahlbrandt again for the upcoming Betrayer, which was a great opportunity to work with Jason Vail again after Hunters. This is my first time playing a prostitute which was intense. Check out my IMDb to see the 99 film projects that I am honored to be a part of.
What are the top three things on your bucket list?
More trips to Europe and tropical vacations, bringing more love into my life and being in a 1000 films! I’m on my way.
Beach vacation or European vacation?
A European beach vacation like Sicily, France, Greece, or Spain. Best of both worlds.
Mansion or cabin in the mountains?
Depends on my mood perhaps. Both are nice. I would say a mansion fits more of my moods though, lol.
Facebook or Instagram?
Both.
What advice would you give the younger version of you?
Care less about pleasing others and just go for it! Don’t give up!
What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?
Travel to a foreign country on your own to show yourself how independent and self reliant you can be.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I was a personal trainer for years and I weight train 3-4 times a week. I love Trader Joe’s.
