How did you come up with the name for your company?

When I was a up and coming artist, my clients and I would always use the term beat faces or catch the beats before owning my businesses.  That’s where Catch the Beats Studio came from and The XClusive Beauty Bar came when I was at Aveda.  I want my clients to get XClusive facials and PMU brows. 

What do you feel separates your work from others?

My artistic skills do.  My presentation is always on point, I pay attention to the details that my clients want.  I put that love in whatever I do.  You can feel it. 

As a business owner, what are your top three priorities?

Being consistent, responsible and knowing how to run a business. 

What are the makeup trends coming up this Summer?

A lot of the trends are the diamond and pearls on the eyelids with glitter. 

What’s your favorite social media platform for your brand?

Instagram is my favorite.  I remember when Instagram platform wasn’t as big 7-8 years ago.  To see how it has helped so many influencers is awesome. 

What’s the longest flight you ever been on?

My longest flight was to New York.

What is your favorite feel-good book?

The Most Powerful Woman in the Room Is You by Jen Sincero.

What is a habit that you have been trying to quit, but haven’t been able to?

Habit, this is a great question.  I’m in the process of trying to stop being super woman all the time.  I love it, but it can be draining. 

About how long do you spend on social media each day?

I’m so busy, that I don’t get as much time that I need.  Maybe 3 or 4 hours a day to promote my work.  I actually have a digital content calendar on my iPad that helps with social media. 

What are the three most interesting things about you?

I’m literally great at everything I do.  I’m a bonafide hustler, I can sell water to any whale.  My character is everything.  I’m an authentic genuine person who has a heart of gold.  I’m also very transparent and blount with great delivery. 

What’s the best thing about your life right now?

Being able to continue to elevate in my life.  Being a wonderful mom who’s showing my kids that an entrepreneur can be successful.  Helping pave the way for other entrepreneurs.
