August is originally from Charleston, South Carolina and has been living in Charlotte since 2007. Science is her first love and she has a degree in Biology from UNC Charlotte. She writes poetry, just finished her first manuscript and started modeling in 2019. 

How does it feel to be selected as one of the Abners Angels?

I feel honored to be recognized for my work.

What made you become a model?

I love creating art.  I like watching a concept unfold, seeing the vision come to life in photos, being a part of that feels amazing and powerful.  I also love music and the entertainment industry in general.

What three things do you need to be successful as a model? 

Positive attitude, confidence and thick skin.

Lingerie or Nude shoot?

Lingerie.

Which insecurity would shock people if they knew about it?

My torso is short.

What is your favorite physical attribute about yourself? 

I like the length and shape of my legs.

Amusement Park or day at the beach?

Amusement Park.

Bags or shoes?

Terrible, you can’t have one without the other but bags I guess, lol. 

What’s the last movie you watched?

No One Gets Out Alive on Netflix.

What’s something you do now that you use to make fun of people for doing?

Wear wigs, I used to think it was weird but look at me now.  A new wig every week, lol.

If you could have dinner with any celebrity, who would it be?

LaKeith Stanfield, but his girl would have to be there too, lol.  They seem like cool people and he is one of my favorite actors.  He has very eccentric, woke and pro black vibes.  I feel like the conversations would be deep and interesting. 

If you could travel anywhere this fall, where would it be?

Paris, I’m going in a couple weeks. 

What is something you think everyone should do at least once in their lives?

Travel overseas.
