Shout Out Sunday. Interview With Photographer AW Visuals.

What made you become a photographer?

Initially I wanted to be a videogame designer and started taking classes in high school.  Prior to taking the class I had to take a class in video production as a prerequisite.  At this point I fell in love with creating stories and making a visual that showed them.  Being the competitive person I am, I said “If I can tell a story with a five-minute clip, how hard would it be to do photos? Pictures are worth a thousand words, right?”

What are your favorite things to photograph?

People are my favorite thing to photograph at this time, never been into landscape or wildlife photography.  Really like the emotion that a person shows can change an entire photo.

What would be your dream shoot?

I never really thought about a dream shoot.  I do have a couple on my bucket list and at the top a beach shoot in Hawaii.

What is your favorite photograph and why?

My favorite photograph has to be the black and white set I did with Allysa Mariano.  The reason being is that it was so impromptu and came out so freaking good.

What was the biggest factor that has helped you to be successful?

The biggest factor that has helped is my most shot model Allysa Mariano.  The consistent shooting helped me learn my camera and got to use different editing tools that helped enhance my photos.

What’s a snack that you can’t stop eating until it’s gone?

At one point I would have said chips, but since I’ve been on my health journey I’ve learned a lot of self-control.

What have you managed to avoid your whole life?

I’m pretty sure everything that I could have avoided I have ran towards head on.  Growth only happens in the dark places.

If you could run away for a day and do anything you want, what would you do?

If I could run away, it would be to do nothing.  I know that’s like a really moment, but being as busy as I am, a lazy day would be just that.

If you could attend any sporting event in the world, what would you choose?

All Star weekend to shoot an epic dunk pic.  A part of me wants to create that next iconic Jordan picture.

What is something you would like to learn how to do?

Not necessarily learn, but want to improve on my video skills as a creator.

What do you want to be the best in the world at?

Communication, why? That’s the only way to network and convey what you mean when you mean it.

How can everyone keep in contact with you on social media?
