Tell everyone about your book Doing It Scared: An Inspirational Guidebook to Facing and Conquering Fear?
This book is meant to encourage people of all ages to embrace their fears and use them as motivation to propel them towards the life of their dreams.
Which chapter in the book is your favorite and why?
My favorite chapter in the book is chapter 9, because it’s where the reader is flooded with positive affirmations intended to inspire and uplift them. After doing the soul searching and “work” that the book suggests it’s one final boost to encourage the reader to conquer their mountains of fear.
Was there any director who work influenced you the most?
I would have to say that Spike Lee was influential in my younger years, especially since he went to Morehouse College and I later attended Clark Atlanta University.
What’s the most challenging part of making a film/show?
The most challenging part of producing a television show would be managing all of the different personalities, from the cast/talent to all of the crew. Sometimes there are literally 150 people to manage and interface with all while doing my job. It can be a lot, but it’s important to have a strong team of leaders who gel and can inspire the team to always be at their best.

Any upcoming projects coming up that you would like to share with readers?
I’ve recently released a book entitled “Doing it Scared” that is currently on sale on Amazon.com. Autographed copies are available via my website www.erika-bryant.com.
Who is your favorite r&b singer?
I’m an old school lover, so my favorites range from Luther Vandross, MJ and Prince. More current favorites would be Beyoncé, Brandy and Maxwell.
City or Suburbs?
I’d have to say the suburbs with a hip city feel. I truly enjoy peace and tranquility, birds chirping in the morning, stars in the sky at night. It’s very calming and reminds me that the world is so much bigger than me and any issues I might be having.

Mansion or cabin in the mountains?
I’d have to say a mansion in this situation. I love nature, but I’m not built to love in the woods. I’m quite the girly girl at heart with a tomboy flare at times.
If you could only keep five possessions, what would they be?
My photo albums, book collection, music collection, my ugg boots, my favorite candles and huge luxurious blanket.
For an all-expense paid trip, which place would you like to visit?
I would love to go to Greece and have the full experience of the life and culture there.
Has there been an incidence that has changed your life forever?
There have been many things that have altered my life, but I think the recent pandemic caused me to sit with myself and commit to fulfilling a dream I’ve had for over a decade. With nothing but time on my hands I sat down to write my first book by dedicating 10 minutes per day to writing. That of course expanded at different moments, but with that little promise to myself and 10 weeks later my book Doing it Scared was born.

How can everyone keep in contact with you on social media?
