Miami Beach Unveils Architectural Gem with the Opening of Berkeley Park Hotel – MGallery

The Berkeley Park Hotel – MGallery, a highly anticipated 4-star boutique

hotel, is set to open on April 1 and is now open to book as the newest addition to the

growing portfolio of Accor, a world-leading hospitality group offering unique

experiences in 5,100 hotels and residences across 110 destinations.  The 80-room

hotel sits along one of Miami Beach’s most coveted sectors known by locals as

the Collins Park “Arts Corridor” for its direct access to world-renowned art

institutions, just steps from the white sand beaches.  With a soaring

Mediterranean façade from 1936, the hotel pays homage to the city’s

scintillating architectural roots with all the modern amenities that discerning

travelers expect.

“Re-launching this iconic South Beach property to bring it back to its full glory

during a time when many people are itching to start traveling again has been an

incredibly rewarding experience.  Our additions to the property will bring a whole

new vantage point to a South Beach vacation; from the unveiling of the stunning

rooftop deck to insider access to local artworks,” said Marcelo Tenenbaum,

Principal and Founder of development company Blue Road.

The Berkeley Park Hotel opens as part of the MGallery Hotel Collection, a global

network of more than 100 unique addresses in 31 countries around the globe.

MGallery was first created in 2008 to share a new vision of high-end

accommodation: the luxury of experiencing new emotions and sensations.  This

ambition gave rise to a collection of storied hotels, chosen for their memorable

character and captivating, individual style.  MGallery’s concept of bespoke,

creative hospitality appeals to lovers of travel, the arts and immersive experiences.

As a member of the MGallery Hotel Collection, the Berkeley Park Hotel will also

participate in ALL – Accor Live Limitless, Accor’s powerful award-winning lifestyle

loyalty program.  Berkeley Park Hotel – MGallery marks the first MGallery property

in Florida.

Design

The exclusive hotel’s top-to-bottom $18 Million renovation embodies a creatively

contemporary aesthetic, drawing inspiration from South Beach’s azure waters and

vibrant culture.  Staying true to its beautiful Mediterranean Revival elements, the

property has retained much of its original design.  The Berkeley Park Hotel –

MGallery melds its historic portion with a new tower that has expanded the

property around an intimate center courtyard while maintaining its sense of place.

“We’ve curated an experience where travelers can find the true, undiluted pleasures

of a South Beach getaway complete with a tropical landscape, the vibrant culture that

we’ve tried to infuse throughout key touchpoints in the hotel and a casually cool

vibe,” said Paola Cordoba, General Manager.

With art curated by celebrated Miami purveyor Grela Orahuela, the resort’s interior

elements will include beautiful pieces by local artists that commemorate the striking

flora native to Miami.  The 80 turquoise-tinged contemporary guestrooms welcome

travelers with rich wood elements, brass finishes and light-filled rooms with floor-to-

ceiling windows.

Amenities

Travelers looking to revel in the salty sea air and natural wonders of South Florida

will enjoy an assortment of outdoor offerings just steps from the hotel, including

beach loungers, paddle boarding through the clear-blue canals and strolling

along South Beach’s historic neighborhoods.  The hotel’s enviable location also

grants travelers easy access to world-class cultural institutions such as the Miami

Beach Botanical Garden, The Bass Museum and The Fillmore Miami.

The Berkeley Park Hotel’s crown jewel however, does not require leaving the hotel,

as it boasts a 2,070 square foot rooftop deck complete with a swimming pool flanked

by shady lounges, monthly programming for guests and locals and breathtaking views

of Miami Beach’s palm-dotted skyline.

Business travelers coming to the Magic City for any one of its annual conferences can

rest easy knowing The Berkeley Park is the closest hotel to the newly renovated

Miami Beach Convention Center; making the one block commute a breeze.  For

meetings and events that make an impact, the Berkeley Park offers a private
