What inspired you to start your own business?

I always wanted to own my own business as a child, I always knew I had a passion for fashion and wanted to own a boutique.  My mother inspired me to start my own business and introduced me to the fashion world.  She introduced me to modeling as a child, the love of fashion, traveling in which I was exposed to the different styles and culture of fashion and becoming a shopaholic at an early age.

For a first-time buyer, what items would you recommend to purchase from your website?

I would always have a nice casual black dress it can be served as an all-purpose attire, a nice black dress can be dressed up or down for all occasions.  A black dress can switch up the style with the shoes, jewelry or cardigan to add to a black dress.  Three things a woman I would suggest to a client should have in her closet is first an all-purpose black dress, nice pants suite black or navy blue, a pair of nice jeans and a blazer are always a must have. 

As a business owner, what are your top three priorities?

Excellent customer service number one.  Knowing your target market and good marketing strategies.  Having good, unique and quality products.  

What are some of your goals for the future of Top Notch Boutique?

To keep getting excellent clients and keep working with celebrity clientele.  To keep building my platform for my brand, business and expanding.

What is the hardest part about growing your business?

Get and securing good clients.

What’s your best childhood memory?

Going on family road trips. 

What is the biggest holiday for your family?

Christmas. 

Where’s the coolest place you’ve ever been/traveled to? 

San Ignacio, Belize Chaa Creek Resort. 

What was one of the best days of your life?

When I graduated college, when I open my first business on my own with the money I worked hard for and saved.

If you could go back to one historical event to witness it, what would it be and why? 

My first presidential inauguration ball for President Obama.  It was all surreal that I was actually in the building of a historical event, it was the most memorably and touching moment that I will never forget.  I will never forget and would love to relive it.  That day I know I could accomplish anything I put my mind to and it made me feel like “yes we can“.
