Tell readers about your Konfection Konnection and when did you start it?

Konfection Konnection started when I was back home in a little town called Jeanerette, Louisiana.  I’ve been baking since I was young, something that has been passed down three generations.  I got the name from my oldest brother initials, we called him KK and that’s how Konfection Konnection got its name.  Konfection Konnection for its unique Louisiana southern style baking and a little twist in each sweet that we serve, from the cupcakes to the pretzel rods.  I love trying new flavors and decorations when it comes to baking and I’m always looking for something different.

Describe your cupcakes in three words?

My cupcakes are moist, fun and unique.

What does your business do to keep your menu new and exciting?

My business always wants to add something new the menu, so that the customer always have something different to look forward to.  Right now I am working on treat boxes and a little surprise, I’m not ready to spill just yet.  Shhh, but soon I will release it.

What role do you think social media plays in food today?

Social media plays a major role in food today.  With what is going on in the world today we are always on social media and always looking at advertisements, posts, feeds, tweets, etc.  We’re in the time of technology, so our word of mouth is through social media.

What is the hardest part about growing your business?

The hardest part about growing my business is clientele.  It starts off slow, but I’m not giving up.  Some days I want to give up, but I think positive and my business won’t grow if I give up.

What is one thing you will do to enhance your life this week?

To enhance my life this week, I decided to challenge myself to keep pushing towards my goals.  Whether in life, business, or personal, that way I can see my success!!

If you could share a dance with anyone, dead or alive, who would it be?

If I could share a dance with someone, I have three people in mind.  My oldest brother, where Konfection Konnection gets its name, my grandmother and grandfather!!

What was your I need to do better with my finances moment?

Ohhh that’s easy.  My need to do better with my finances was when I was ready to purchase a home and I was tired of renting an apartment that I will never own.

Has anything ever came to you in a vision or dream?

Oh yes, I always have visions and dreams.  Sometimes I go after them, sometimes I don’t.  When I get either one, I always write them down, so I won’t forget them and see exactly what they mean.  I also have a vision board that I update every year.

What’s the most memorable vacation you’ve ever taken?

The most memorable vacation I’ve ever taken was to Massanutten, Virginia.  It was so beautiful.  I’m definitely going back one day.

If you could accomplish one everlasting thing before you die, what would it be?

That would be to say I’ve seen the world, I love to travel.
