Shout Out Sunday. Interview With Divine Visions Catering Owner.

Tell readers about your Divine Visions Catering and when did you start it?

I started Divine Visions Catering back in 2016.  It was originally designed to be a private dinner and personal chef business, but turned into a full service catering company that also specializes in meal prep and meal delivery services.

What is unique about your Catering business?

My catering company puts an emphasis on creating a dining experience that helps to bring to life the vision for the overall event.  Each menu is crafted to fit the vision as well as dining style of the host and their guests.

Describe your food in three words?

Cheesy, meaty and flavorful.

What does your business do to keep your menu new and exciting?

Our meal prep menus change seasonally as well as our comfort meal menus.  Each catering menu is designed along with the host to assure that each menu is a unique experience.

Which chefs do you admire the most and why?

Ryan Hamel, who was my executive chef at a five star steakhouse I worked at back in Ohio called the Cabin Club.  I learned a lot from him about food and the food service industry and also Alton Brown.  I love how he breaks down the science of food.

What is something you will never take for granted again?

Time.  It is the one thing we can not buy more of and are constantly running out of.  I try to utilize every moment to the fullest.

What must be seen or experienced in person to really appreciate it?

The level of professionalism I bring to each event.  My motto is to under promise and over deliver.

What do you miss the most about your childhood?

The joy, the little things in life used to give.  Things like snow days or Saturday morning cartoons.

What place is on the top of your bucket list?

Dubai, I want to travel there in style one day and stay at the top floor of one of these massive skyscrapers.  Runner up is Italy, because I am a big fan of Italian cooking.

What would millennials be shocked by if they were transported back to the 80’s?

VCR’s, 8 tracks, jheri curls, no internet and no mobile phones.

What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

I am also a published poet and I took martial arts for six years.
