What inspired you to open Cranky Granny’s?

I was inspired to open Cranky Granny’s, because I noticed growing up how every time special occasions will come up, we will all gather, have great times, eating, laughing and enjoying each other’s company at granny’s house.

Describe your sweet rolls in three words?

Delicious, buttery and soft.

For a first-time buyer, what product or items would you recommend to purchase from your website?

We highly recommend the good ole classic sweet roll, peach cobbler or strawberry.

What are some of your goals for the future of Cranky Granny’s?

Our short term goal is get our sweet roll truck up and running.  Our long term goals are to franchise, build a strong enough and large enough platform to inspire other whole feeding their bellies.

What do you want your supporters to know about you?

I want my supporters to know that I appreciate all the love and support I’ve been given.  Especially the ones who have been supporting me since the beginning and have seen my growth through trail, error and success.

Arctic or the tropics?

Tropics definitely.  I’m a winter baby (Capricorn), but I love to vacation in warm places.

Disney World or the beach?

Disney World.  Even though I use to go there every year as a kid, but I don’t like getting on the rides.

Favorite food and restaurant?

Chicken Parmesan from Grand Lux Cafe or my mom’s oxtails, mac and cheese with collard greens.

What’s one thing that defines who you are?

Music defines who I am.  Initially I wanted to become a music producer, DJ and A&R, but I fell in love with baking sweet rolls.

Who is on the guest list for your ideal dinner party?

Diddy, DJ Khaled, Rihanna, Beyoncé, Erika Badu, Gray Vee, Eric Thomas, Rick Ross, J. Cole and so many more I would have an essay.

What do you want to be remembered for?

I want to be remembered for always remembering the community that gave to me, giving back, my determination to succeed and starting at a young age.
