Monica English is located in Southern California, she is a Model, Entrepreneur, Mentor, TV Host and Artist. In her spare time she practices the violin, guitar and piano. She is represented by Prestigious Models and currently holds the title of Miss Golden State.

How does it feel to be selected as one of the Abners Angels?

I’m honored and thankful for the opportunity to be featured with other amazing models and artists!

Was there anyone who influenced you to become a model?

My mom always wanted me to become a model, which definitely influenced me.

How do you feel about the internet in the modeling business?

It has really opened up the market for freelance artists and influencers.  The modeling industry has changed a lot! I see it as a positive for those who would be “unconventional” otherwise.  It has kept me motivated to pursue modeling/entertainment alongside entrepreneurship.

Which insecurity would shock people if they knew about it?

I have bad stage freight, despite being a TV personality, performing artist and pageant competitor.

Do you get to travel a lot for your work? If so what’s your favorite city that you have visited?

Yes, I’ve been fortunate to travel to 16 countries and 13 states so far.  I’m not sure if I have a favorite city, but I really loved Greece.

What do you think your best physical feature is?

My smile 🙂 .

What’s your best childhood memory?

When I first tried s’mores.

What must be seen or experienced in person to really appreciate it?

The ocean, sunsets and nature.

What’s one thing you’ve learned about yourself from a past relationship?

I’m a people pleaser and had to learn to work on better boundaries.

What’s your favorite food, restaurant and thing to cook?

I love Mediterranean food.  Tantalum is one of my favorite restaurants and I enjoy cooking breakfast for dinner.

If given a chance to meet three most famous people on the earth, who would it be, answer in order of preference?

Maggie Q, Beyoncé and Candice Swanepoel.
