Shoniqua Horton was born and raised in Buffalo, New York and now located in Atlanta, Georgia. She has been modeling on and off since the age of 13. Modeling is just one of the many things that Shoniqua does. Shoniqua who goes by the name Shoniqua_unique, also hase been in plays, a few of Tyler Perry movies, she loves to dance and act. In the beauty industry and also does real estate. She is working hard, she will not be stopping anytime soon and will be on the big screen.

How does it feel to be selected as one of the Abners Angels?

It feels great actually to be selected as one of the Abners Angels.  Anyone in the world can be seen and picked, but I was one of them.  Thank you!

Tell readers how you were discovered and how your modeling career all started?

I have been modeling on and off since the age of 13.  I can honestly say Tyra Banks was one of the first reasons I wanted to model.  It was very interesting to see a African American woman in modeling running the industry.  I have done A LOT of work such as NYFW, Runways, Movies, plays, etc.  Most people think modeling is just taking pictures, but for me I think a model is being a role model.

What physical features do you get the most compliments on? What are you insecure about?

I get the most compliments on my eyes and smile.  Honestly, I’m not insecure not to sound cocky, but I don’t have anything to be insecure about.

How do you feel about the internet in the modeling business?

I feel like the internet helps a lot with building up a career for modeling, because you are able to network a lot if you use it in the right content.  I do feel like the internet can also be a downside for modeling, because nowadays a lot of females post anything and call themselves a model.  Which makes it harder for people who are actually taking their own modeling skills serious.

What do you think you look the sexiest in?

Ummm, good question.  I think a laid back sweats on and hair tied up is comfortable and sexy for me.  I think I look sexy in anything rather I have on Timbs or heels.

What is your dream modeling job?

My dream modeling job is to be one of the Victoria Secret models.  I love them, I just feel like I will fit right in.

If you were stranded on an island and could only have one book, what book would it be?

It will be a book on business, how to control your own imagination (mind) or fashion.  Something that is going to give me freedom, hope and joy.

Name a movie that you refuse to watch?

I don’t think I’ve ever had a movie I refused to watch.  Maybe in the future, but as of now I’m open to all movies.

What do you miss the most about being a kid?

O.M.G., I missed when everyone was able to just be kids.  Play outside until the street lights came on, water fights, playing jump rope, hide and seek, going to the penny candy store and climbing trees.  I miss that a lot.

What song brings back the most memories?

I love Chris Brown say goodbye, that is one of my favorite songs.  Any song in the 80s and 90s brings back memories.  I have a old soul.

If today was the last day of your life, what would you want to do?

Spend time with my son and family.  Nothing more, nothing less.

Do you feel your childhood was happier than other people’s?

No I actually had a rough childhood, but I was very blessed and to overcome it all.  I am still blessed and striving towards better.  So no complaints!
