Tell readers about your Terrific N Tidy Cleaning business and when did you start it?

Terrific N Tidy is a home and business base cleaning service that was founded in 2014.  We are a small business with an employee base of four.  We are based out of Newnan, Georgia and service all surrounding cities within 50 miles.  Our mission is to deliver quality, efficient, trustworthy service to each customer along with integrity and accountability.  Using both proven and innovative methods.

What are some of your goals for the future of Terrific N Tidy Cleaning?

Terrific N Tidy aspires to expand in employee size, client base and service coverage.

What advice would you give to anyone who is thinking of owning their own business?

To have patience in their business growth, set reasonable expectations on profit, growth and returns.  Never give up, understand that it takes money to make money, which means you’ll put more in financially than you’ll receive for the first 3 to 5 years.  Keep your passion and vision, as that will encourage you to keep going when the tough times arrive.

What has been your greatest professional success and biggest setback?

My greatest professional success was acquiring two major contracts with two local daycares.  My biggest setback was losing the bid.  Another major contract, due to being understaffed.

What do you want your supporters to know about you?

I want my supporters to know that my business is my passion, which means I will work hard to fulfill and exceed my client’s expectations.  As I know that, without my clients my business will not succeed.

How has your family shaped your personality and who you turned out to be?

I am a proud mother of four children and I also have custody of my nephew, whom I consider to be my own child.  I’m also a wife and a grandmother.  Being all of these roles have taught me how to be responsible, have patience, how to effectively listen to what is being said and to problem solve.  It’s taught me to be loyal, to have unwavering dedication and commitment, which are all elements I bring to my business with my clients.

What must be seen or experienced in person to really appreciate it?

In order for one to appreciate, it is the struggle or hardship one has to endure in making their business a success.  As the struggle and hardship makes you appreciate when things flow easily.  It’s an old adage that says that “you cannot appreciate the sun if you’ve never seen the rain.”

What do you wish you had in school that kids have today?

The thing I wish I had in school growing up that the children have today is access to more electronics such as, take home laptops and tablets.  The world is more computer based and a lot of people in my generation have little to no knowledge on how to appropriately use a computer and its apps.

What are the top three places you need to see before you die?

The top three places I aspire to visit before I die is Paris, Germany and Jamaica.

What do you want to be remembered for?

I want to be remembered for my smile, kind heart, my dedication to help others and my loyalty.  As all of these things are essential to my makeup.  I’m a great person who desires to see others happy.  I believe I have a call for service on my life, which is why a cleaning service fit me.  As I get to transform someone’s mess into something beautiful.
