Shamia H. goes by her model name Coco Doll. She was born and raised in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. As a teen she became interested in becoming a model and social media became big. She used that to her advantage and became what she is am today. She has her own brand named Cocooforeverr. Which is about uplifting woman of color to be as beautiful as they want to be, regardless of anything. Her goal is to go even further than she has ever been.

How does it feel to be selected as one of the Abners Angels?

It feels like I am one step closer to reaching my goals as a successful model.  I am able to grow as a model with this opportunity and the more growth I have the better.

Was there anyone that influenced you to become a model?

A lot of Instagram models influenced me, such as Bernice Burgos, Alexis Skyy  and The Real Kylesister.  Naomi really influence me as a dark model, if she made it, I know I can.

What physical features do you get the most compliments on?

My eyes are the most complimented, it’s like my fans get hypnotized and fall in love, lol.  My skin and my lips.  I appreciate that, because all of them features represent my black beauty.

What is your favorite physical attribute about yourself?

I love my skin because it represents all other chocolate girls trying to make it, even if they are not models. My skin represents strength to show all the black little girls, that they can do anything they want and not be ashamed .

Do you prefer indoor or outdoor shoots?

I’m more of a bedroom, exotic model.  Outdoor shoots are fun too, the sun compliments my skin well.  But I love the natural, walk around the house sexy shoot if you know what I mean.

What is one model/photographer you would love to work with?

I would love to work with Model You love Cece or any other chocolate model.  We compliment each other so well.  Photographer Photo Millz is amazing and his shoots definitely fit me, would love to work with him one day.

If you could only have one app on your phone, what would it be?

The motivation app, all I need in life is motivation.

Do you think that online / app dating or more traditional ways of dating are better?

I miss traditional dating, online dating is so unsafe these days.  You have to be real cautious about online dating, compared to traditional dating.  You can actually see a person for who they really are.

What is your favorite thing to shop for and why?

Clothes, I love fashion and I love trying on different clothes.  Seeing what hugs my curves and colors that compliments my skin is fun.

What is something that people assume about you, just by looking at you?

Most people think I’m a stripper or stuck up. I don’t know what it is, I show off my body a lot.  So I think that’s why the stripper thing comes up, lol.  I still till this day don’t know why I get seen as stuck up, I’m the most humbled person you could ever meet.  I just admire myself , it’s nothing wrong with that.

If you had two hours left on earth, what would you do?

Spend as much time as I can with family and friends, tell everyone I love them.  Lastly, tell the government how I feel, literally.  Yes I would go out with a bang.

What was your hometown like and how much did where you grew up shape you?

I was born and raised in Philadelphia.  Definitely from the hood, I seen it all from drugs, to gun violence and just dealing with the struggles in a single parent home.  I never starved, my mom took care of my brother the best way she can.  I was the oldest, so I had to help us by any means necessary when my mom couldn’t.  That’s why I’m so mature now and a go getter.
