Daphne Austin, known as model Bella, was born and raised in Greenville, Mississippi. But California is her second home, where she started her career as a model and actress. She moved to Atlanta, Georgia where she finished school as a Medical Administrator and continued her career as a model and actress. Daphne finds that being in front of the camera is her happy place, besides being with family. Especially with her twin boys Jakel and Kalyl and her mother.

How does it feel to be selected as one of the Abners Angels?

It feels great to be selected as one of Abners Angels.  I feel honored that the industry is noticing my passion and dedication.

Was there anyone who influenced you to become a model?

Well even though her title is not a model, Beyoncé influenced me a lot.  She takes her career in the industry beyond just being an artist.  She’s a go getter and a Virgo like me.  Before Beyoncé it was Tyra Banks.  I probably watched every episode of America’s Next Top Model.

What is your favorite physical attribute about yourself?

My favorite physical attribute about myself would be my smile and my eyes.  My smile, because I know just by smiling I can turn someone bad day into a good day.  My eyes, because I’ve been told several times that they make me look exotic and that it’s one of my best features.

Do you ever get shy in front of the camera?

Yes there are times I get shy in front of the camera.  That’s when every one is completely quiet, because at that moment I feel like everyone eyes are on me. Lol!!

Do you get to travel a lot for your work? If so what’s your favorite city that you have visited?

I don’t get to travel very much as of now but I have.  I have been to Bellflower, Los Angeles and Inglewood, California.  Omaha, Nebraska, Topeka, Kansas, Kansas City and Lee Summit, Missouri.  Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Memphis, Tennessee, Chicago, Illinois, Baton Rouge, Louisiana, Jackson and Greenville, Mississippi.  Dallas and Austin, Texas and Augusta, Georgia

What are your modeling goals for 2020?

My modeling goals for 2020 is to travel more for opportunities.  Continue to build my portfolio and reel.  Get more print work, start getting my brand out there with merchandise and taking chances.

Victoria’s Secrets or Frederick’s of Hollywood?

That’s a hard choice, because I’ll choose Victoria Secrets when I wanna do sweet, innocent and good girl shoots.  I’ll choose Frederick’s of Hollywood when I wanna do savage, bad girl shoots.

Restaurant or home cooked meal?

I prefer home cooked preferably, my grandmother’s home cooking.

What was the last movie that made you cry?

The last movie that made me cry was, “When They See Us”.

What 30 seconds would you erase from your life if you could?

Would be the moment I turned down the wrong street to go home and became an innocent bystander.  Which led me to be a victim of gun violence.

What was the most memorable gift you’ve ever received?

The most memorable gift I’ve ever received, was my twins sonogram in a picture frame.

What are the three most interesting things about you?

My personality, I love to make people laugh and I love being in front of the camera whether it’s acting or modeling.
