How does it feel to be selected as one of the Abners Angels?

I am thankful and honored to have been selected to be apart of Abners Angels.  Thank you for the opportunity!

What made you become a model?

What played a role in me becoming a model was my love for taking pictures.  I’ve always been that girl who loved to take pictures, capture myself in moments and some may call me the selfie queen.  I also have a love for art and I feel modeling is a work of art, because a picture can express a lot.  I also became a model to show other females you can be beautiful, without being super tall and skinny.  Just have confidence in yourself and love the skin you are in.

What was the first job you ever booked as a model?

My first real job that I feel I ever booked as a model, would be for a hair/ clothing line called Lakieran Couture Studio.

How do you maintain your figure?

I try and keep myself in the gym.  I have a fast metabolism, I feel that plays a major role in the maintenance of my figure.

What physical features do you get the most compliments on? What are you insecure about?

The physical features I get the most compliments on would be my eyes, smile and my skin.  An insecurity that I have that I am overcoming is my feet.  My cousins and I, say our feet and forehead are a family curse!

If you can be the main character in a music video or movie what artist or movie star would you choose and why?

If I could be the main character in a movie, I would pick Taraji P. Henson.  I choose Taraji, because she plays roles that show women empowerment.  She represents that women can be bosses and do big things without any help.

What’s something you were really stressed about, it turned out to be no big deal?

Something I stressed about that turned out to be no big deal, was being able to afford school and my other expenses.  I was worried it would be a major load on me trying to go to school and work long hours.  God worked it out, I feel happy and relaxed.

What are the top things you’ve learned over the past year?

The top things I’ve learned the past year is not to take anything for granted, to value myself and the people I have in my life.

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?

The most embarrassing thing that has happened to me was back in elementary.  I was playing the trust fall game with one of my friends and she was suppose to catch me when I fell back.  She let me fall and I ended up falling in a huge pile of dog poop.  I went to a private school at this time.  So I had to go to the front office and get a new pair of uniform pants.

What is that one thing if your parent learned about you they would be surprised?

One thing my mom learned about me would surprise her, is that I am a very sociable and goofy person once I become comfortable.  I use to be very shy, quiet and anti-social.
