Tell readers about your Goddess Unique business and when did you start it?

Goddess unique is a luxurious natural hair care and skin care line.  That focuses on regrow your hair and revitalizing your skin.  We started back in February 2017.

What inspired you to start your own business?

Many things inspired me to start my company.  When I graduated from college with my applied science degree, I found it was very hard for me to find employment with my natural hair.  I took it upon myself, decided to start my own company and become My Own Boss.  While working in hospitals I saw how so many people were losing their hair due to chemo and I wanted to help all the people out there who lost their hair from chemo, radiation, tension from tight hairstyles and stress.  Hair loss is a big issue in this country.

For a first-time buyer, what product or items would you recommend to purchase from your website?

I would recommend for first-time buyers our Miracle-Grow hair serum and our body butters.  Our Miracle Grow hair serum helps you regrow your hair and body butters help soften and moisturize your skin.  Those are our best sellers.

Are there any stores that sell your merchandise? If not, would you be open to the idea .

I currently sell my products on Etsy, We Buy Black, Instagram, Facebook and I have my own website http://www.goddessunique.com .

What are some of your goals for the future of Goddess Unique?

My goals for Goddess Unique are to be able to help other women start their own business, plus we want to extend and create a non-for-profit company.  My goal is to create a company that helps clean beaches and helps remove plastic from the ocean.

What is the number one philosophy you live by?

My number one philosophy is minding my business.  My goal is to focus on myself, my family and those that are close to me.  When you mind your business, not indulge in gossip and other unnecessary things it allows you to maximize your full potential.  I’ve been able to do that within the last two years and have seen amazing results.

What’s something you’ve always wanted to try?

I’ve always wanted to visit every country in Africa.  That’s on the top of my list of things to do.  I want to absorb all the cultures of my motherland.  My dad is Nigerian, so traveling there is a must.

What must be seen or experienced in person to really appreciate it?

Love.  I feel like unless you’ve seen or experienced loved it’s really hard to appreciate it. Unless you have seen your parents love, kiss and appreciate each other it’s hard for you to appreciate it and its value.

What’s your best childhood memory?

My best childhood memory is my dad taking me to the beach.  I would ride my bike as he walked to the boardwalk in Coney Island.  It’s one of my best memories as a child.  I love and appreciate my dad, so those moments he created between us will always be treasured.

What’s your most valuable possession?

My most valuable possession is my family.  My husband, my kids and my crystals, lol. Everything I do is for them.
