How does it feel to be selected as one of the Abners Angels?
It is an honor to be recognized, I am grateful and excited.
Was modeling something you always wanted to do, or did it just kinda happen?
Modeling was something I thought about doing when I was younger watching America’s Next Top Model, but I never pursued it. So when I began last year it did kinda just happen and I’ve been shooting here and there ever since.
What are your modeling goals for 2019?
I really want to work on posing and my facial expressions. I also want to get more creative with my shoot concepts.
What do you think you look the sexiest in?
I feel sexy in a lot of things, but to keep this quick I would have to say a body suit. They’re tight, so it’s easy to see my shape. I also like when my legs are out, they’re so long and I’m low-key obsessed with my tattoo.
What has been your favorite shoot / campaign / work to date?
Hands down my favorite shoot that I’ve had up to date was with Corey Hariston, he’s a photographer from Philly (Instagram @hariston_). He met me at a hair show where I performed a pointe solo. He came up with the concept inspired by Kanye West’s “Runaway”. We went around Center City taking pictures and we even got kicked out of a few places. We had a blast, tourists and locals were showing so much love and the pictures came out beautiful.
What’s your most common first thought when you wake up?
“5 more minutes”, just kidding. I am not a morning person, never have been. So to get me going in the morning I like to play music that inspires me and has a positive message. Starting your day off on a good note is so crucial.
Which insecurity would shock people if they knew about it?
People often use the word confident to describe me. I find it so funny, because in my mind I’m going in on myself. Growing up I got picked on and was often told I was ugly, even though I knew that wasn’t true. I internalized it and sometimes I have my moments when I’m very self-conscious.
What’s one thing that defines who you are?
One thing that defines me is my work ethic. I’m a very hard worker and I take pride in doing/getting things on my own.
Would you rather spend five days exploring New York City or Disney?
Disney is nice and all, but New York City is my favorite city and there are so many places to explore.
Would you rather live for a week in the past or the future?
If you would’ve asked me this a year ago I’d say a week in the past. But the past is in the past for a reason and without those lessons I would not be the young woman I am today. I’ll pick a week in the future and maybe if I don’t like something I see, I’ll have time to fix it.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I am actually really shy, despite popular belief and I do not like attention.
How can everyone keep in contact with you on social media?
Everyone can find me on Instagram @armanee_exchange and on Twitter @ms_exchange_. YouTube channel coming soon.
