What inspired you to start Gatekeepers Agency?
The desire to see others obtain a career in the field they desire. In order to reach that desired position, it’s always a great choice to start next to that position. So why not become an assistant!
As a business owner, what are your top three priorities?
Inner peace, positivity and God. These priorities keep me centered. After five years of being a personal assistant and road manager, those positions have there own level of stress. But there is no stress level like operating a company from scratch. I juggle so many things that, without a team the road would be twice as difficult. So I’m grateful!
What services or products do you offer?
GK-Agency is The Home of The Assistant. With that comes the many positions such as personal, administrative, executive, production and virtual assistants. We have six ways to hire an assistant.
What separates your agency from everyone else?
Aside from myself and my unique experience. Gatekeepers Agency takes the time to actually groom each and every person that works with or for the company. Our roster size for each market will hold around 20-30 signed assistants. Making sure we are giving the most effort to the individuals we signed for job placements. I’m also working on a training program at these early stages of the company that will focus on giving new assistants skills for the work field.
Any upcoming events that you would like to share with readers?
Yes, my book No Damn Excuse scheduled to be released this year! I’ve worked with music artists for so long, so I know the process of putting together an album. Well, this is my first album and I’m overwhelmed with joy to share my story. I pray it will touch someone to become the fighter for what they desire.
What’s one small thing you could do each day that would greatly improve your life?
End my procrastination to certain things.
What is your most treasured memory?
In reference to my career, seeing my former client reach his goals and knowing I had a helping hand at making that happen. Now I’m working on doing that for myself.
What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?
I’ll hold that for the book. I’m going to shock some people. There is a list of things.
Name three things on your bucket list?
Successful businesses, work on my movie and see other assistants working towards there dreams.
What’s one of the proudest moments in your career?
Road managing a spot date with my former client in London. We had the blessing to open up for 50 Cent at the O2 Arena. I was standing on the stage facing 15,000 fans recording our performance. That was my first international trip. While backstage with the team we just sat back and said these were the moments we fought so hard for during those four years to that point.
