Rohan Sutherland is the managing partner of Genesis Media Group based out of West Palm Beach, Florida. He is a graduate of Montclair State University with a Political Science degree.  The Genesis Media Group is a full service marketing, public relations and brand building firm. In the past they have worked with athletes, celebrities and a few fortune 500 companies. Their work includes media relations, event production, creative brand building, soliciting endorsements for athletes and celebrities, sponsorship solicitation and negotiation.

What is unique about your business?

Our business is unique, we are geared towards celebrities, athletes and philanthropy.

If you had one piece of advice to someone just starting out, what would it be?

Intern at company of interest in your field or attend events.

Who are the clients or events that you most enjoy working on?

Events that are fun, interactive and high energy.

What are some of your goals for the future of Genesis Media Group?

Our goal is to continue creating events that gives back, as well as create branding opportunities for corporations.

Any upcoming events that you would like to share with readers?

Our upcoming Chad Johnson celebrity charity basketball on Friday February 1st, at Morehouse benefiting Ushers new look foundation and our collaborative effort with Planet Hollywood in Vegas for the Bo Jackson charity golf classic in May are just a couple.

If you could attend any event in the world, what would you choose?

A U2 or Maroon Five concert.

What’s one of your proudest moments in your career?

Anytime we are able to produce an event that allows us to donate thousands of dollars to charity are our proudest moments.

Where’s the coolest place you’ve ever been/traveled to?

Olympic village in Puerto Rico.

What must be seen or experienced in person to really appreciate it?

The behind the scenes of making an event a success.

What is something people would be surprised to know about you?

I hate flying.
