Christina Cooper is an actress, director, producer, and author.  She is now the executive producer of Christina Cooper Productions (otherwise known as Christina Cooper Films). You might recognize Christina Cooper from her self produced film “Loyalty” which will be turned into a full feature film entitled “South Central Love”.  She also plays Miko on the hit Emmy nominated Netflix series “Dear White People”, she plays Crystal in the new movie “Never Heard” alongside Romeo Miller and Karrueche Tran, she plays Cindy in the new action thriller “Unintended”, Nina on “The Lovers Lyfe” and last but not least, Chloe on Lipstick (the series).  Christina is currently working on films and television shows in front and behind the camera.

Tell everyone how you were discovered and how your acting career started?

I was first discovered at the Fox Hills Mall by a modeling agent and my acting career branched off from my modeling career.  My first role of Miko on Netflix’s Dear White People is what put my acting career on the map thanks to my amazing agent Kharmony Fortune.

What actor/actress would you like to work with in the future?

I would love to work with Viola Davis!

What’s the best and worst thing about being an actress?

We work up to 12 hour days! The good thing is that we get the best food on set!

Tell readers about your role in the South Central Love movie that’s in pre-production now?

I am writing, producing, and directing this new movie.  I will also be playing the character Bria alongside many other well known actors and newcomers.  This movie is set to release in 2019!

Tell everyone about your Director and TV Producer background?

I’ve directed a short film and an Emmy nominated digital series, and now my first movie. I also produce a television cable talk show for “The Christina Cooper show”.

How did it feel to be selected on the Forbes 30 under 30 list as a nominee?

It was a shocker to me, but I am extremely humbled to even be considered! To know that my production company and businesses are being noticed by Forbes is amazing.

What do you think your best physical feature is?

I would say my smile.  I smile a lot!

What are your goals as a model?

I want to inspire the up and coming models in the industry and guide them with my experiences of being an internationally signed model.  My goal is always to inspire.

What is your biggest accomplishment in your field of work?

I would say being considered for an Emmy nomination is my biggest so far.

If you could go back and pick a different profession, what would you choose?

Possibly something in the medical field, maybe a nurse.

What’s your most embarrassing childhood memory?

I used to wear baggy t-shirts and sweatpants everyday.  You wouldn’t catch me in a skirt or dress.

What is your most treasured memory?

My vacation with my family in Jamaica.

Who is on the guest list for your ideal dinner party?

Everyone on my team, family and friends.  I like to keep my gatherings filled with people I know and genuinely support me.

What are the top three things on your bucket list?

Travel to Dubai, win an Emmy and buy my parents a new house.
