Linda Hernandez was born in Dominican Republic and raised in South Bronx, New York. She hasn’t been modeling long but has appeared in music videos and multiple magazines.  She likes going to the beach and spending time with family.

How long have you been modeling and what inspired you to become a model?

I have been modeling approximately four years.  I started modeling for a friend photographer as a hobby, he suggested I go for it.  I like being in front of the camera and I receive a lot of positive feedback from the people I work with.  I think this is something I was meant to do.  When I lived in New York City I was always told I should model, but never considered it then.  Maybe it was not the time yet.

What was your first big break in the industry?

A photoshoot I had in New York with photographer Rafeese, it got me published in my first magazine (That Splash).

What three things do you need to be successful as a model?

As in any other career to be successful as a model you need to be professional, need to be open to new ideas, and most important you need to be determined to take on all the challenges that come your way.

Who was your role model as a child and how did that help in being a model?

I never thought about modeling as a child, that was something that happened unexpectedly.  I have always been inspired by Jennifer Lopez.  She is a strong beautiful Latina that has remained consistent through the years with her career.  Strong women are motivation for me to keep working and pushing forward towards my goals.

Three words your best friends would use to describe you?

Loving, protective and ambitious.

What are some of your favorite designers or stores?

Fashion Nova and Hot Miami Styles, they are affordable and have styles that fit very well on curvy girls.

What do you worry about, and why?

I wouldn’t say worry, more like attentive to my children’s and my mother’s wellbeing.  I always want to make sure my family is taken care of.  When it comes to modeling I can say I am always nervous about the expectations people have of me, I always want to deliver my best to the public.

What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

I am a big Anime fan.  People always ask what I like to do for fun.  When I tell them one of those things is watching Anime with my son, they seem a little surprised.

What should every woman try at least once in her life?

I think every person should try something that scares them at least once in their life. When we face our fears we get courage, this makes us feel like we can accomplish anything.

What’s the best compliment you ever received?

I like when people notice how big of a heart I have.

What’s the craziest thing you ever heard about yourself?

I haven’t heard anything really crazy, but the one thing that really gets me is when people say I am too old to be modeling.  I am one to believe you are never too old to do anything in life.

What’s your idea of a perfect date?

Dinner by the water, just the two of us contemplating on the stars.

Who is your celebrity crush?

Kit Harington (Games of Thrones/Jon Snow) love the way he portrays his character and love this show.
