Edward Waters University held off a furious fourth-quarter comeback attempt from Morehouse College, securing a 46-38 victory after building a 30-point lead through three quarters. Tigers Quarterback Tavion Faulk led the way offensively, throwing for 295 yards and two touchdowns while adding 66 rushing yards and two rushing touchdowns on the ground. Tigers Running Back Johntarrious Thomas contributed 77 rushing yards and one touchdown, while wide receiver Xavier Irvin caught five passes for 90 yards and a touchdown. Tigers Running Back Kyron Borroughs added a touchdown reception on his lone catch, finishing with 16 receiving yards. Edward Waters entered the fourth quarter with a commanding 46-16 lead, but Morehouse refused to go quietly.

The Maroon Tigers erupted for 22 points in the fourth quarter, cutting deeply into the deficit before Edward Waters ultimately secured the win. Morehouse Quarterback Scott Miles finished with 154 passing yards, one touchdown and two interceptions. Running Back Savion Red led the Maroon Tigers on the ground with 70 rushing yards and a touchdown. Morehouse also got big plays from its special teams and defense. Chase DeVaughn delivered an 88-yard kickoff return, while cornerback Joshua Houston returned an interception 61 yards for a touchdown. Wide receiver Dylan Brooks added a touchdown reception.
