Central State Spoils Morehouse Den of Honor Celebration With 49-21 Victory

Central State University spoiled Morehouse College’s Den of Honor celebration defeating the Maroon Tigers 49-21 in a matchup that honored the program’s retired players. Central State quarterback Jackson Wasik led the way, completing 13 of 16 passes for 247 yards and three touchdowns. Wasik also added 68 rushing yards on eight carries and a rushing touchdown, accounting for four Central State scores. The Marauders received a strong performance from running back Isaiah Thompson, who carried 16 times for 112 yards and a touchdown. 

Kaleb Jenkins added 52 yards and a touchdown on eight carries. Central State also made an impact in the passing game with Wide Receivers Khamari Adams caught three passes for 87 yards and a touchdown, while Avantae Burt finished with five receptions for 78 yards and a touchdown.

Morehouse found some offensive success of its own, led by Quarterback P.J. Hatter, who completed 6 of 7 passes for 53 yards while rushing for 70 yards on eight carries. The Maroon Tigers also received productive rushing performances from Running Backs Tony Robertson III and Savion Red. Robertson carried eight times for 59 yards and a touchdown, while Red rushed nine times for 48 yards and two touchdowns. Through the air Wide Receivers Dylon Brooks led Morehouse with two catches for 46 yards, while Jermiah Gibson added three receptions for 37 yards.

For Morehouse, the search for its first victory of the season continues after falling to 0-3 and 0-2 in SIAC play. Central State, meanwhile, can celebrate its first win of the 2026 campaign, improves to 1-2 overall and 1-1 in conference play.
