Who or what inspired you to open E-Tax & Financial Solutions…
Although I have a minor in accounting, I never intended to work in that field. I was originally asked by an old friend to help him manage his tax practice. After that first year, I realized I loved helping people with their tax needs, especially low-income families who qualify for numerous tax credits. That money can come as a blessing to them, especially after the holidays when money may be a bit tight. Since then, my clientele list has varied and grown tremendously. No matter, if it’s a six or seven figure business to individuals, I truly enjoy helping clients reduce their tax liability or getting them their maximum refund.
The hardest part of being a entrepreneur is…
Having to wear many hats. From marketing to sales to payroll, I’ve been accustomed to doing it all. I’m a bit of a perfectionist, so it was a bit difficult to learn to delegate at first. However, I’ve gotten better at delegating tasks to the right people and outsourcing what needs to be outsourced.
My goal I hope to accomplish this year is…
Expansion. I would like to bring more experienced tax advisors and CPAs on board and open up more branches. I would also like to monetize my traveling hobby and turn it into an income producing stream. I have plans to start a travel blog and hopefully grow my social media following so I can start landing brand partnerships. I truly enjoy sharing my travel stories and inspiring people to see the world.
One thing customers should know about my companies that they may not be aware of is…
I pride myself on providing superior customer service. I understand that people have options and I want to keep lifelong customers. Therefore, customer service is a top priority for me.
The best thing I ever did for my business was…
Invested into my business in all aspects, especially when it comes to education. This includes yearly continuing education, training for me and my staff. It’s very important for me to ensure that we are up to date on the constantly changing tax laws, so I can better serve my clients.

My favorite local restaurant is…
Sabor Del Caribe. It’s a little Spanish fast food (but good) spot in my city. The food simply is delicious.
The skill I would like to master is…
The art of pacing myself. I’m extremely ambitious and I tend to have a lot going on at the same time. Contrary to what some may believe, I don’t relax as much as I should. You may see me on vacation and I’m still working or my mind is still thinking about something work related.
If I could travel to one place, it would be…
I’m an avid traveler and I love to explore. Currently, I’ve been to 45 countries and I have a goal of one day seeing all 195 established countries. However, a place that’s on my bucket list would have to be Maldives or Fiji. I’ve been saving those two for the right moment.
The three apps I can’t live without are…
Amazon (Convenient for my hectic lifestyle). Instagram (Social media is purely for business purposes at this point. Think free advertising, sponsorships and monetizing). Travel apps such as Skyscanner, Travelzoo, etc. (I’m constantly looking for travel deals).
The greatest invention ever created is…
The internet! It’s revolutionized the world we live in and has allowed us to connect, learn, work, play and everything in between.
