The Southwestern Athletic Conference has named Alabama A&M’s Donovan Eaglin, Southern’s Jason Dumas, Alabama State’s Nathanial Eichner and Florida A&M’s Jeremy Moussa its SWAC Football Players of the Week for their impressive performances during games played this past week of competition.
Offensive- Eaglin tallied 200-plus yards from scrimmage to go along with three touchdowns as Alabama A&M defeated Bethune-Cookman 35-27 on Saturday. He contributed 190 yards on the ground with two rushing TDs and two receptions for 12 yards with one receiving TD.

Defensive- Dumas was a key contributor for Southern this past weekend while helping the Jaguars claim a 59-3 win over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. He tallied five tackles including 2.5 tackles for loss to go along with 1.5 sacks. Dumas also tallied a quarterback hurry during the contest in which SU held UAPB to three total yards rushing on 20 attempts.
Specialist- Eichner accounted for 10 of the Hornets’ 16 points during a 16-13 road win over Texas Southern on Saturday. He connected on field goals attempts of 27, 31 and 42 yards. His 42-yard field goal was a career-long and his three successful attempts were also a career-best.
Newcomer- Moussa led the Rattlers to a 34-7 win versus Mississippi Valley State on Saturday finishing with 26 completions for 291 yards and two touchdowns. The win gave the Rattlers their 13th straight win at Bragg Stadium (2nd longest streak in the nation).
