How does it feel to be selected as one of the Abners Angels?
It is very exciting as I appreciate being selected and sought out. It motivates me even more to come back to the scene stronger than I had been in the past.
What inspired you to become a model?
The reason I held off modeling before college was, because of the stereotypical standard of height and size in the modeling world. Due to not seeing many models my size walking the runways or being on the covers of magazines. I decided that I could perhaps raise awareness to the societal standards of beauty.
What three things do you need to be successful as a model?
Confidence, resilience and knowledge of your values. The world is full of beautiful female and male models and in the modeling world it is easy to start comparing yourself. It is not always about competing with other models, but rather having your own confidence and truly boosting other models as well. In my experience, resilience is so important due to the amount of time I had to take off for my physical health. Without resilience, you will hold back and self-doubt will create itself. It is also fairly simple to fall into different types of modeling, because all you see is opportunity, but understanding and remembering your true values will keep you on your most suitable side of modeling. Be honest with your style/brand and be firm in how your shots are executed and expressed. Yes, everything is an opportunity, but pick the opportunities that YOU genuinely want.
What physical features do you get the most compliments on?
Sometimes I receive compliments on my cheekbones, skin tone and figure! I feel so appreciative when I get these compliments.

Lingerie or Swimsuit shoot?
I prefer swimsuit shoots. For my individual style and brand, lingerie would have to be mixed into my attire to proceed with a professional shoot.
How do you maintain your figure?
I was a college athlete, so I would train in the weight room and play soccer and since my injury I am now recovering with a ton of physical therapy. Right now, I’m pushing to gain my strength back in my right leg.
If you had $1,000 right now, what would you spend it on besides bills?
I would honestly love to go on a weekend getaway. I would do some shopping, eat at good restaurants and relax.
Who is your favorite sitcom couple?
Jane Villanueva and Rafael Solano from Jane the Virgin are my absolute favorite. They have always belonged together and their love story is just so iconic.

What is something you think about that makes you feel old?
Justin Bieber and Taylor Swift songs make me feel so old. Every time I listen to old CD’s it takes me back to 1st grade and my old purple flower CD player. That CD player shaped and formed me for sure, haha.
What advice have you been given that you still use?
Take time and realize what karma you create. I have had such a sporadic journey with healing and the decisions you make really do affect the future. I pay closer attention now, because it is so important to nourish not only me but those around me too.
What is a habit that you have been trying to quit, but haven’t been able to?
This one is actually funny, but I have been trying to not eat everything in a spicy way. I love eating spicy so much that when I eat food without some sort of spiciness, I feel like the food is missing something, lol.
What’s one thing you have accomplished in 2021 that you’re proud of?
I received my first art exhibition acceptance and my art was showcased in Laguna Beach, California. It was a big moment for me as an artist. It helped me realize that I don’t just have to choose between being a model, artist or athlete, but I can be all three and achieve each path.
