Kamara is from Victorville, California and she is located in San Diego, California. She is studying nutrition at San Diego State. Her hobbies are working out, playing volleyball, reading and doing makeup. Recently she is taking a burlesque dance class as a new hobby.

How does it feel to be selected as one of the Abners Angels?

I am very excited for this opportunity! I am very thankful for Abners Angels for giving me the platform to show people who I am.

What inspired you to become a model?

I was inspired after leaving a long-term relationship that was never going to allow me to reach my full potential.  I put everything I had into my partner and I lost sight of the importance of independence and individuality.  After that period in my life, I made it a point to not only cherish myself, but to also embrace myself.  This newfound self-love inspired me to begin my modeling career.

How has the modeling industry changed since you became a part of it?

Since I have become a part of the modeling industry, the pandemic has affected the location availability for photoshoots.  As a result, many models have been shooting from home, embracing the art of in-house shoots.

What is your least favorite thing about modeling?

Balancing to stay current with new trends, while simultaneously staying true to myself.

What physical features do you get the most compliments on?

My smile.

How often do you exercise or go to the gym?

At minimum four times a week.

What place have you visited that moved you spiritually?

Moving to San Diego three years ago had an immeasurable effect on me spiritually.  The sense of community and support I have received since being here has only enhanced my experience.  I embrace the feeling of something greater than myself being here in San Diego.

Name something you let go of in life that made you happier?

Letting go of previous hardships and tribulations has made me look at them as life lessons and not failures.  My change of perspective on past experiences has created an abundance of happiness in my life!

What’s your favorite thing about humanity?

My favorite things about humanity are the friendships that people make, the communities that people create and the companionship that people show.

What do you and your family argue about the most?

My sisters and I have an ongoing debate about who is daddy’s favorite, it’s obviously me!

If you could meet any figure from history who would it be?

Sojourner Truth, the first African American suffragist.  Advocated not only for abolition, but for temperance, women’s rights and civil rights during the 19th century.

Do you think your childhood was better or worse than other people growing up in a similar place and time?

My parents raised me in a very nurturing and loving household as a child, fortunately enough, I was able to prosper in that environment.

How can everyone keep in contact with you on social media?
