The Hawks went into halftime with a 62-56 lead and four of their starters scoring in double figures. Once the Hawks went up 108-95 with 4:31 left in the game, they never looked back. Trae Young finished with 40 points and 8 assists, his third 40-point game of the season. Young had 16 points in the final quarter and was hitting shots all night making 14-of-20 from the field. Clint Capela had a big night with 24 points and 13 rebounds and John Collins had 20 points and 6 rebounds.

Jayson Tatum had a great first half with 19 points and finished the game with 35 points, 6 rebounds and 6 assists. Jaylen Brown finished with 22 points and 7 assists, he had a bad shooting night making 6-of-20 shots from the field. Tristan Thompson had 14 points, 7 rebounds and 3 steals and Payton Pritchard came off the bench with 11 points. This was the Hawks first win against the Celtics since April of 2018 and the Hawks are back in the win column after losing four games in a row.
