Mavericks 4th Quarter Comeback Defeats the Hawks 118-117 Behind Doncic’s Triple Double.

The Dallas Mavericks defeated the Atlanta Hawks 118-117 with a fourth quarter spark. Luka Doncic had a triple double with 28 points, 10 rebounds and 10 assists. The Mavericks got some bench help from Jalen Brunson 21 points, 5 rebounds and 4 assists and Tim Hardaway Jr. 16 points and Willie Cauley-Stein 14 points and 6 rebounds. Those three players combined for 51 bench points for Dallas and played a big part in this victory. The Mavericks were down by 9 points going in the 4th quarter, Hardaway Jr. scored the first 7 points of the quarter and the Mavs trailed 90-88 with 10:27 left in the game.

Trae Young had 25 points, 15 assists and 7 rebounds and John Collins had 33 points and 8 rebounds for the Hawks. Kevin Huerter had 23 points and 8 rebounds and Danilo Gallinari had 11 points off the bench. The Hawks bench only scored 23 points compared to Mavs 51 bench points. The Mavs sweep the Hawks in the two game season series and have won three games in a row by a combined 8 points. The Mavs next game is at home against the New Orleans Pelicans and the Hawks face the San Antonio Spurs at home their next game.
