Abners Angels Presents Interview With Model “Tamara Stackhouse”

Tamara was born in Germany and is an Atlanta based model and actress. Moving all over the United States and even studying in and out of the states. She is a student of the world and uses her world wide view in all of her work. She loves to travel, dance, learn new crafts and the overall art of storytelling.

How does it feel to be selected as one of the Abners Angels?

It feels pretty cool! This is my first interview, I spend a lot of time working and forget that someone may actually see me and what I am doing.

Was modeling something you always wanted to do, or did it just kinda happen?

Honestly, it kind of just happened! I am an actress and being in this industry you meet a lot of creative people, who want to collaborate with you for different projects.

Do you prefer indoor or outdoor shoots?

Outdoor, nothing hits like the sun.

Is modeling an easy job or more strenuous than people realize?

Way more strenuous than people realize.  Long hours, branding, judgement, staying physically healthy and keeping high self esteem are just a few parts.  With acting and modeling your tool is your entire being.  Every job I do is intimate and personal to me.

What do you think your best physical feature is?

My eyes and my ability to communicate through them.

Which insecurity would shock people if they knew about it?

Showing my cinnamon roll belly button.  People tend to tell me is cute, but we are our own worst critics.

If music was only one era, what era would you want to be stuck in?

Whew, I’d hate to sound cliche but 90s R&B!

If you could only have one app on your phone, what would it be?

Twitter, it’s the meme factory.  I always hear about current events, pop culture and an endless sea of funny videos to send to my friends.  I barely even tweet anymore.  Just scroll and laugh.

What are you currently binge watching on Netflix?

Sex Education is a great show.  I need to work on my British accent so I can audition.

If you could find out three things about the future of your life, what would you want to find out?

Wow, that is a great question.  There are sooo many things I could and probably should pick, but I’m going to have to say nothing.  There is a beauty in the possibilities of the unknown.

What is one thing people would be surprised to know about you?

I went to six elementary schools, four middle schools and three high schools.  Certified Military brat.

What’s the most embarrassing thing that’s ever happened to you?

So many embarrassing moments, but let’s go with when I was a child in middle school.  I was the step team captain, which means I got a captain whistle.  One day, we were waiting in the stands to perform for halftime at a basketball game.  I was calling this guy I had a crush on’s name, but he couldn’t hear me.  So, without even thinking I blew my whistle and it stopped the game.  The referees were so upset, that one of them came into the stands to find who blew the whistle.  I tried to hurry up and take the whistle from around my neck.  But it got tangled in my hair, I was caught red handed and got my whistle taken away before we could even perform.
