Tia Lee is a young independent model from Huntsville, Alabama. Ever since her first pageant at 10 years old, she knew she had a passion for being behind the camera. She’s modeled fashion, runway and commercial. She looks forward to expand her name and hopefully moving to Atlanta for more opportunities.
How does it feel to be selected as one of the Abners Angels?
It’s an amazing opportunity! I appreciate just being recognized and you reaching out! Especially being an independent model. It really motivates me to keep going, knowing someone is watching.
What made you become a model?
I obsessively already take a lot of pictures, but I really knew I wanted to model when I did my very first photoshoot. I just loved the vibes and creativity. I went in thinking I was just going to take pictures, but it became so much more to me. An art.
What physical features do you get the most compliments on?
My curly hair and brown eyes. I don’t wear my curly hair often, but when I do, I stand out.
What do you think you look the sexiest in?
I love my natural state, no makeup and natural hair. I also love myself in red.
What is your greatest weakness, as a model? What are you doing to improve on it?
My greatest weakness I think would be is my consistency. I’ve been modeling for about two years now and I always get caught up in other things. I haven’t been going as hard as I know I can and taken up on opportunities I know would help further my modeling career. I can say I’ve been busy working, but I hope to be more consistent and committed with my time.
What are your modeling goals for 2020?
I just hope to create more content and really understand modeling. I’m going to take out this time to really understand the business and create opportunities for myself, so that I may expand.
What is your favorite birthday memory?
Whew! Well my favorite memory would have to be my 18th birthday. Me and my friend got all dressed up, went out in Birmingham and didn’t even end up going anywhere. We just had fun at the room and went to sleep, but it was by far the best birthday I’ve had. Hopefully I top that one, I definitely plan on actually doing something big this year.
What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done?
I had my daughter when I was 15 years old. That has been by far, the scariest hardest thing I’ve ever done.
If you could go anywhere in the world, where would you go and why?
Dubai, I love the culture and vibes. I’m such a “feeling” type of person, I just want to settle somewhere I feel good vibes and peace.
What is something you hate that you wished you liked?
I hate wigs. They really suffocate my head, I don’t like the whole process of gluing it to your head and everything else. They’re so cute, but I just could not take the time to do all that and only wear it for a few days. They’re so cute and stylish though, I wish I could tolerate them.
What is that one thing if your parent learned about you they would be surprised?
Me and my mom have really open communication, so she knows we are exactly alike. Same attitude, communication skills, ways of thinking, it’s crazy. I honestly don’t think I could surprise her.
