What inspired you to become a model?
People always use to ask me to model for them because of my skin tone. I never really thought nothing of it, until I started noticing that little me was inspiring other dark skin girls out there. I started using my platform to inspire.
What are the pros/cons of modeling?
Pros: getting my name out there, the whole looking fabulous on set.
Cons: knowing that you are going to be judge by others whether it’s good or not. Also trying to keep up with your image 24/7 literally.
What are your goals as a model?
I know I’ve said this previously as a model, my goal is to simply inspire others out there especially my melanin queens. Modeling and getting known is just my first step of becoming the woman that I want to be in this life.
What photographer and model would you love to work with?
Omg it’s so many out there. I’ll love work with creative photographers such as Zev Hoover, Olivia Bee, Kyle Thompson, Raul Ramon and also local photographers in Atlanta such as @2020photgraphy3. The list is endless to be honest. As far as models, I don’t really have specific people I’ll like to work with. I’ll love to work with anyone that’s just dope. If the opportunity presents itself and they’re super dope, I’ll defiantly work with them.
What is your greatest weakness as a model? What are you doing to improve on it?
My greatest weakness is overthinking on set. I over think everything because I want it to be so perfect and that’s really bad because it makes me stress a lot. To overcome it, I’m starting to just tell myself, “let the photographer handle it” and I’m starting to have more fun on set because of that.
Three things on your bucket list?
Grace the cover of a big magazines such as Vogue, Elle, Ebony, etc. Travel all over the world. Graduate freaking college!
New York or Los Angeles?
I’ve been to New York before but never L.A., so I’ll go with Los Angeles.
Miami or Las Vegas?
Definitely Miami. 305!!! Lol.
What are your hobbies, besides modeling?
Modeling isn’t really a hobby for me. I see it as a career I’m working on. I love going to gym and working out as my hobby, because it makes me feel so much better. If listening to music 24/7 is considered a hobby, that too lol.
What would you like to be remembered for?
I love this question! I would like to be remembered as the girl that broke so many barriers in the industry and as a philanthropist for my country.
What’s something you thought you’d grow out of but haven’t?
Being a tomboy and dressing like one. I really thought at this age and doing all this modeling would make me a girly girl. I’m so much comfortable in my male clothing and a lot of people tell me I “act like a boy” lol.
Tell everyone how they can follow you on social media?
Follow me on Instagram @ciretraore_ that’s where I’m really active. But also follow my Twitter @_ciretraore and Snapchat where you really get to see the real me 24/7 lol @c_ire .
