Quarterback Tyriq Starks threw for 145 yards, 1 touchdown and 1 interception in his first collegiate start to lead Howard University to 10-9 victory over FAMU. Starks led the Bisons in rushing with 12 carries for 30 yards. Wide Receiver CJ Neely had 4 catches for 27 yards and scored the only touchdown of the game for the Bisons. The Bisons manage to pull off the win with only 195 total yards.

FAMU Quarterback RJ Johnson III threw for 183 yards. Running Backs Thaddius Franklin Jr. and Levontai Summersett led the Rattlers with 37 yards rushing. Wide Receiver Jalen Rogers led the Rattlers with 4 catches for 51 yards. FAMU had 272 total yards and didn’t score any touchdowns. Penalties hurt the Rattlers, Kicker Daniel Porto made 3 out of 4 field goal attempts and making the fourth field goal would have won the game for them.
