Quarterback Walker Harris threw for 189 yards and one touchdown to lead North Carolina Central to 31-14 victory over Southern University. Running Back Chris Mosley had a break out game with 17 carries for 180 yards and a touchdown. Mosley rushed for 252 yards and 3 touchdowns last season for the Eagles. Running Backs Aleni Mageo and Arthur Rodriguez Jr. each had a rushing touchdown for the Eagles.

Southern Quarterback Cam’Ron McCoy threw for yards and had 9 carries for 93 yards with a rushing touchdown. Running Back Trey Holly led Southern with 10 carries for 119 yards and touchdown. North Carolina scored 14 unanswered points in the second half and Southern went scoreless.
