Texas Rattlers Overtake No. 1 Rank in PBR Teams League with Win Against the Florida Freedom on a Sold-Out Opening Night of Camping World Team Series Action in Duluth, Georgia

As the first neutral site event of the 2025 PBR (Professional Bull Riders) Camping World Team Series got underway in front of a sold-out Saturday night in Duluth, Georgia, the Texas Rattlers overtook the No. 1 rank in the league by beating the Florida Freedom in walk-off form. The evening also featured the Carolina Cowboys upsetting the previously unbeaten Kansas City Outlaws and the New York Mavericks registering their first game win of 2025. Elsewhere on the lineup, the Nashville Stampede and Arizona Ridge Riders rounded out the roster of winning teams Saturday evening inside Gas South Arena.

Braidy Randolph stole the show in the evening’s second game, propelling Texas to a 258-173.5 walk-off win against the Florida Freedom. Randolph was joined by Claudio Montanha Jr. and Callum Miller who also converted for the Rattlers as they improved to 3-1 this season and Florida fell to 2-2. The win catapulted Texas from No. 2 to No. 1 in the league, while Florida remained No. 6.

In the final game of the evening, the Top 2 teams from the 2024 regular season went head-to-head as the then undefeated Kansas City Outlaws squared off against the Carolina Cowboys. Riding in red-hot form, Carolina upset Kansas City by two ride scores, 256.5-87.75. Carolina’s win was powered by 8-second efforts from Adriano SalgadoClay Guiton and Daylon Swearingen. Both Carolina and Kansas City are now 3-1 this season. For the Cowboys they remained No. 3 in PBR Teams, but the Outlaws backslid from No. 1 to No. 2.

The New York Mavericks earned their first game win of 2025 Saturday night in Georgia, beating the Missouri Thunder by one ride score, 173.75-87.25. New York’s win was earned via 8-second efforts from team newcomer Bob Mitchell and veteran Mauricio Moreira. By way of the game result, New York and Missouri are both now 1-3 this season, ranked No. 9 and No. 8, respectively, in the league.

Competition began inside Gas South Arena as the Nashville Stampede took on the Oklahoma Wildcatters. Backed by scores from Alan de Souza and Anderson de Oliviera, Nashville beat Oklahoma by one ride score 171.25-86.5. Courtesy of the win, Nashville improved to 2-2 this season, climbing from No. 8 to No. 7 in the league, while Oklahoma’s loss led them to slip to 0-4, dropping from No. 9 to No. 10 in PBR Teams.

Keyshawn Whitehorse delivered a monster 90-point ride in the top of the fifth as the Arizona Ridge Riders upset the league’s reigning World Champion Austin Gamblers by two ride scores, 257.75-89.5. Whitehorse was the third Ridge Rider to convert in the game, with Everton Natan da Silva and Luciano de Castro also riding for Arizona as they improved to 3-1 this season. While Dalton Kasel prevented Austin from a scoreless loss, the team slipped to 2-2 this season. In the league standings, Arizona rose from No. 5 to No. 4 and Austin fell from No. 4 to No. 5.

The team with the highest aggregate score of qualified rides among its riders in its five outs is declared the winner of each game. Wins and losses at the conclusion of each team’s 35-game regular-season schedule determine seeding for the annual Championship Tournament in Las Vegas.
