The Florida A&M Rattlers trailed 18-7 at the start of the 4th quarter and scored two touchdowns in the 4th quarter to secure a 22-18 win over South Carolina State Bulldogs. FAMU Quarterback Daniel Richardson threw for 282 yards and 3 touchdowns. This was Richardson second game in a row throwing for 3 touchdowns and he has been the Rattlers best player on offense so far this season. Tight Ends Karter Johnson led the Rattlers with 6 catches for 68 yards and Koby Gross had five catches for 94 yards. Gross and Johnson had 1 touchdown each and Running Back Levontai Summersett led the Rattlers with 62 yards rushing.

Bulldogs Quarterback Eric Phoenix threw for 132 yards and 1 touchdown. Bulldogs Running Backs Deondra Duehart led the team with 74 yards rushing and Kazarius Adams had 60 yards rushing. Bulldogs Wide Receiver Caden High had 3 catches for 49 yards and Adams had an 8-yard touchdown catch. The Rattlers improve to 2-0 and the Bulldogs are 0-1. The Rattlers managed to pull off two close wins and they have won by a combined five points.
