Athena Leilani resides in Vancouver, BC Canada. She is rock ‘n roll, sugar & spice, a true Gemini at heart. A charismatic inked model, her personality shines through her images. Athena is also very spiritual and lives her life by the moon. She is also a single mother to two boys who got her wrapped around their finger. Athena enjoys modeling and plans to get more publications under her belt.

How does it feel to be selected as one of the Abners Angels?

I am thrilled, this will be my sixth publication!

Was there anyone who influenced you to become a model?

I have been modeling since my early 20’s.  My biggest inspirations came from when I was a young girl.  I always admired Marilyn Monroe, Eva Herzigova, Stephanie Seymour and Petra Nemcova.

Do you get to travel a lot for your work? If so what’s your favorite city that you have visited?

I haven’t much for work, but it is definitely in the immediate future.

What are the main challenges in modeling today?

I would say the ability to stand out in a world where all these women look the same.

What do you think your best physical feature is?

My smile.

What do you think you look the sexiest in?

Leather and lace baby!

If you could change one bad quality of yours, what would it be?

I wouldn’t change one thing about my physical body.  Mentally, probably my ability to go from 0 to 100 real quick.  I need to learn to control my temper at times.

What was the last movie that made you cry?

It was the new Lion King, just watching him instill the values and seeing the loyalty to his son was amazing.  I was so thankful I got to enjoy that movie with my two boys.  Now, the movie that ALWAYS makes me cry is Blow.  I have watched it a dozen times and always cry at the end when Ray Liotta is listening to the tape Johnny Depp sends him. Ugh my heart!

If you get to have a destination wedding, which destination would you choose?

Hawaii, but I want my engagement photos in a cemetery.

What was one of the happiest moments of your childhood?

I don’t really have any happy moments I can recall, but I loved time with my siblings.  They are my everything.

What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done?

I’ll never tell…#criminallyinsane.
